Role summary: digital marketing executive

This pivotal role will focus on creating and delivering internal and external communications, campaigns and events, working closely with the marketing team: the marketing manager and another marketing executive.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating high-quality SEO’d content that can be tailored for the full range of our communication and marketing channels including digital, events, PR, internal comms etc

  • Creation and management of content programs ensuring they meet the needs of various stakeholders

  • Work closely with the client services (sales) and content teams to write and produce content fit for the B2B target audience

  • Monitoring ongoing campaigns, keeping accurate records and highlighting where variances and trends occur and undertaking detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are being met

  • Creation and management of the content calendar to align with key events, industry reports, awards etc

  • Building and maintaining our social media presence / engagement across multiple LinkedIn groups and on Twitter

  • Capture customer feedback to generate new content ideas to increase customer engagement


Your skills and experience will include:

Essential – competencies

  • An editorial mindset with an ability to understand what the customer wants

  • Positive, enthusiastic and outgoing with a can-do attitude

  • Creative and innovative

  • Highly articulate with excellent written communication and presentation skills

  • Enjoy finding solutions to obstacles/challenges and an ability to work well under pressure

  • A self-starter - not fazed by complexity or speed

Essential – technical skills

  • Proven content marketing experience across different mediums

  • Excellent command of written English with copy accuracy

  • Digital marketing knowledge and experience including SEO, website CMS, social media and marketing automation

  • Image manipulation skills (Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator or similar – either formally or on the job)


  • An understanding/experience of B2B publishing

  • A background in memberships

  • Multimedia production experience

  • SEO training/experience

  • Google Analytics training and experience (either formally or on the job)

Salary £22k to £25k (depending upon experience).
